A task pays for one piece of AI work. If the work fails, the task returns to your balance and stays there.
What a task buys
A task is the unit Adamiro charges for AI work: a draft, a scan of your sources, a Mentor conversation, a Tank session. Each kind of work has its own price in tasks, set in one place, so the price you see is the price that is taken.
Only generations cost tasks. Setting things up and choosing a plan are free.
When a task comes back
When a run fails, the tasks it used are refunded to your balance automatically. You do not have to ask. The refund happens once per run, so a retry in the system cannot refund twice.
One exception: a run that is stopped for abuse is not refunded.
How long a task lasts
Tasks on the current plans never expire, and that includes a refunded task. A refund arrives as a normal grant and sits in your balance like any other.
