A board session for a leadership team, with a facilitator.

The Tank seats five advisors who disagree on purpose. In a decision room, a facilitator from Adamiro runs the session for your team: frames the question, keeps the round on it, reads the tally back, and writes it up. You leave with the board’s stances, the split between them, and the one observable thing that would prove the majority wrong.

What a session includes.

  • A 30-minute preparation call to frame one question. One, not three.
  • A 90-minute session in The Tank with your team watching the advisors argue and the facilitator managing the rounds.
  • A written summary within 24 hours: each advisor’s position, where they split, the tally, the falsification test, and what the facilitator heard the team decide.
  • The Pitch File, which the team keeps.

Working figure: $790 per session, Tank tasks included. Facilitator time: about four hours including preparation and write-up.

What a decision room is not.

It’s not consulting. The facilitator runs the meeting and gives no advice of their own, exactly as the Chairperson does. The advice comes from the board. The decision stays with your team.

Who it’s for.

A pricing change, a market to enter or leave, a pivot, a hire that changes the shape of the company. Anything one person shouldn’t decide alone and a team keeps deferring.

Nothing goes out on trust.

A finding in a briefing says how many of the items read back it: “4 of the 12”, “3 of 3 job ads”. Never “probably”. A source that speaks for a whole industry counts as one voice.

A claim in a draft is tested against its opposite while it’s written. If no company would claim the opposite, the claim says nothing, and it’s replaced with the specific thing you do or cut.

A quote is checked against the page it came from. If it isn’t there, it is marked as a fact to verify, and nothing is published until you settle it.

A number is yours, or it is marked. Voice invents nothing unless you tell it to, and it marks what it invented. A case study starts with a fact interview so it contains what only you know.

A post is approved by a named person before it goes out: you, or an operator working inside the rules you wrote. There is no other path to publish.

Everything you need to know

Can we run The Tank ourselves instead?

Yes, on any seat, for 3 tasks. A decision room adds a facilitator and a write-up; it doesn’t add advisors.

Does the board remember our last session?

No. It forgets on purpose. The facilitator keeps the Pitch File and brings the relevant parts back in the preparation call.

Is the summary a recommendation?

It records what the board said and what the team decided. The facilitator doesn’t add a recommendation of their own.
