Buyers checks each quote against the text it came from, ignoring capitals, spacing and curly quotes. A quote that is not in the source is dropped and you get a paraphrase in italics instead.
What it does
On the Buyers tab, each problem your buyers have comes with the words they used. After reading a source, Signals checks every quote against the stored text of that source. A quote that is there word for word is kept, ignoring capitals, spacing and curly quotes. Quotes are also limited in length.
A quote that is not in the source is removed. The card shows a paraphrase in italics instead, so you can tell which is which.
Why
A made-up quote in your buyers' mouths is the kind of thing that ends up in a post or a sales email. The check means every quoted line on the Buyers tab appears in the source it links to.
What it won't do
- It doesn't show a quote it can't find in the source.
- It doesn't edit a quote to make it read better.
- It doesn't present a paraphrase as a quotation.
How to use it
Open the Signals guide in your dashboard, or start a trial to try it.
