Voice

Voice emails you a finished draft only if you tick the box.

Email me a copy when it is written is off until you tick it. The box remembers your last answer, and the copy goes to the address of whoever pressed the button.

What it does

Email me a copy when it is written is a box at the bottom of the Write this as, Rewrite it and Rewrite it for another format dialogs. Tick it and the finished draft is sent to your address as well as landing in Drafts.

It is off until you tick it once. It then remembers your last answer, and the same switch sits under Settings → Voice → Email me a copy.

Why

A draft in your inbox you never asked for is noise, and it can be a draft you hadn't meant to share.

What it won't do

  • It doesn't email anyone before you ask.
  • It doesn't send the copy to another address. It goes to the address of the person who pressed the button.

How to use it

Open the Voice guide in your dashboard, or start a trial to try it.

Every quotation is checked against the pages Voice read.

Quotes of four or more words are matched to the source pages. One it can't find becomes a fact to verify, with the reason stated.

Voice / Reach

Voice marks a missing figure as a fact to verify instead of guessing.

Where Voice has no figure for a claim, it writes a marked placeholder that says what is missing. The draft lists each open one, and the marker stays until you replace it.

Voice settles the headline before it writes a long article.

For a blog article, LinkedIn article, newsletter or how-to guide, you pick a headline first. Voice plans the sections to keep what it promises. Headlines are free, and a number you didn't supply is dropped.
