Features / Tasks

Tasks · You don't pay for what you didn't get.

A run that fails returns its tasks to your balance automatically.

See pricingSolo and Team

When a run ends as failed, including one that stalls and is swept, the tasks it used are refunded without you asking. The refund happens once per run.

What it does

When a run fails, the tasks it took go back to your balance at once. A run that stalls and never finishes is marked failed after a while and refunded the same way.

The refund is recorded once per run, so a repeat can't refund twice. It shows in your task ledger as a line starting with Returned.

Why

You pay for work you receive. An output you never got is not something to chase support about.

What it won't do

  • It doesn't refund a run that was stopped for abuse.
  • It doesn't refund a run that completed, even if you dislike the result. Use the discard refund for drafts.

How to use it

Open the Tasks guide in your dashboard, or start a trial to try it.

A run that finds nothing new, or nothing relevant, is not charged.

If your sources published nothing since the last briefing, or nothing was relevant to your profile, no briefing is made and the run is not charged. The timeline says "Run not charged".
